To configure the T1/E1 Module, perform the following tasks:
Step 1 Click on the Edit icon in the Configure column for the Interface of the expansion module
you want to configure. The E
dit Interface window is displayed.
The General tab allows you to set up the type of
encapsulation: PPP or HDLC, as well as the
management interface type and level of user security login. The Zone setting is disabled.
Step 2 Select the desired type of encapsulation: PPP, HDLC, or Cisco HDLC. If you select a type of
encapsulation other than PPP, you will need to assign the IP address and netmask.
Step 3 If HDLC or Cisco HDLC is selected, assign the IP address and subnet mask for the network
mask assigned to the subnet.These are auto-filled for you, but you can change them if desired.
