10. Analyze a minimum of two levels of quality control material to verify sensor
performance.
After the sensor temperature equilibrates, remove the sensor and inspect for
bubbles. Remove any bubbles that are present.
Replacing the Gas Tanks
Use this procedure to replace a gas tank or cylinder when the main tank pressure
falls below 300 psi.
WARNING
Handle compressed gas tanks with caution. To prevent damage and
possible personal injury, comply with the following precautions:
S Never drop tanks, allow them to strike each other, or subject them to other strong
shocks.
S Secure tanks to a wall or bench, on the floor, or place them in a tank base
support stand.
S Avoid dragging, rolling, or sliding tanks, even for short distances. Use a suitable
hand truck to move tanks.
S Never tamper with safety devices in regulators or tanks.
S Use these gases for the calibration of clinical and research instrumentation only.
Do not dispense these gases for any therapeutic use.
S Do not puncture. Contents are under pressure.
S Do not use or store near heat or open flame.
S Do not expose tanks to temperatures above 54_C (130_F) because contents may
vent or explode.
S Never throw tanks into a fire or incinerator. Follow the disposal instructions on
the tanks.
S Do not refill tanks. Federal law prohibits the refilling of these tanks.
Materials required:
S Cal Gas or Slope Gas tank
S valve wrench
S soapy water
1. Stop the system from the Menu screen:
a. Select
2 Maintenance and press Enter.
b. Select 7 Stop System and press Enter.
2. Disconnect the gas line from the system.
3. Remove and dispose of the empty gas tank, as shown in Figure 3-62:
