Configuring a Second Server Instance
This section contains a procedure for configuring a second server
instance. This procedure assumes that you have already installed the
client. See Chapter 7, “Installing Clients” for more information.
Step 1 From Windows Explorer, open the PATROL DB-Admin Client 3.0
program group.
Step 2 Double-click the Database Administration Products icon.
The PATROL window appears.
Step 3 Click on the existing host, and right-click on the host icon.
Step 4 Choose Copy from the drop-down menu.
Step 5 Type the second server instance name on the Duplicate dialog, and click
OK.
Step 6 Right-click the duplicated instance icon, and select Properties to open the
corresponding Host Properties dialog box.
Step 7 Click the Advanced tab.
Step 8 Click the Change button at the lower left of the Host Properties dialog
box.
Step 9 In the Port box, change the value to the port number of the additional
instance, and click
OK.
