port 1413 for the 2.2.06 version, you may have assigned a unique host
name of
eagle@1413v2206. For the 3.0 version of the client to coexist
with this earlier version, you could assign a unique host name of
eagle@1313v30. See the Help for more information about configuring a
new host.
Using the Product
After installing and configuring the client, you are ready to connect to a
database and begin using the product. To start and stop the client, see the
following sections. To use the product, see the PATROL
®
Database
Administration User Guide for more information.
Starting the Client
Complete the following steps to start the client:
Step 1 Double-click the Database Administration Products icon from the
PATROL DB-Admin Client 3.0 program group.
The PATROL window appears.
Step 2 Follow the procedure in the online Help to define the hosts or servers and
create the connection profiles.
Stopping a Client
Complete the following steps to stop a client:
Step 1 Make the PATROL window active.
Step 2 Click Exit on the File menu.
