Note
If you select Oracle and you have only one supported version on your
system, the program will continue. If you have more than one supported
version, the program prompts you to select which version you want to
use.
If you have no supported versions of Oracle (supported versions are
7.3.2.2 through 8.0.5), the program cannot install the necessary files for
Oracle, but can continue if the other selected databases are supported.
You have the option to continue the installation, or to stop the
installation, install a supported version of Oracle, and restart the Setup
program.
Step 9 From the Select Optional Components dialog box, select the Knowledge
Modules check box to install the PATROL DB-Admin Knowledge
Module
™
(KM). If you choose not to install the PATROL DB-Admin
KM
™
Note
Installation of the PATROL DB-Admin KM is optional and can be done
now or later. In order to use the KM, PATROL Application Management
software must be installed. You can then enable a PATROL Agent
™
(using the pasetup program or by selecting PATROL DB-Admin KM
Setup from the PATROL DB-Admin Servers 3.0 program group). See
Chapter 6, “Setting up the Server for Event Monitoring by the
Knowledge Module,” for information on these procedures.
