Step 6 To change the value of the Heartbeat to a value other than five minutes,
type 4 on the options menu, then enter the new interval rate.
Note
The Heartbeat is the interval rate at which job server information is sent
from each of the PATROL DB-Admin servers to the PATROL Agent. The
default Heartbeat value is five minutes.
Step 7 To change the value of the Set Agent Timeout to a value other than five
seconds, type 5 on the options menu, then enter the new interval rate.
Note
The Set Agent Timeout value is the unit of time during which the
PATROL DB-Admin KM tries to detect the arrival of a Heartbeat. If the
KM does not receive the Heartbeat during this time, then it assumes that
the server is offline. The default unit of time is five seconds.
Step 8 Type 6 on the options menu to change the critical job duration to a value
other than 24 hours.
By default, after 24 hours, any jobs in error are taken from a critical
status to a non-critical status. This status determines where job summary
information is listed on the PDB-Services reports.
Step 9 Type 7 on the options menu to check that all global parameter
information has been entered accurately.
Step 10 Type 8 to exit the script.
