Installing Clients 7-13
Ensure that Windows is running and that the host has a network drive to
which the client can connect. Then, complete the following steps. This
procedure uses D for the CD-ROM drive. If you use a different letter,
substitute the correct drive letter.
Note
The following procedure assumes the use of a CD browser. If you choose
not to use the browser, you can start the Database Administration
product’s Setup program by selecting Run from the Start menu and
entering
d:\client\setup ADMIN in the text input box. Then, follow steps 5
and on.
Step 1 Insert the Database Administration product’s CD onto the network’s
CD-ROM drive.
The CD browser launches automatically.
Step 2 Click the Client Install button.
A menu appears, allowing you to choose from a local installation or a
network installation.
Step 3 Click the Network Install button.
A menu appears, allowing you to choose to copy the installation image or
to install to a network drive.
Step 4 Click the Install to Network button.
The Setup program for the Installation starts.
Note
For international versions of this product, the Choose Setup Language
dialog appears. Select the language for this installation from the
drop-down list, and click OK to continue.
The Welcome page of the Setup program appears.
