Database Administration Installation Guide
Overview
The PATROL DB-Admin Knowledge Module (KM) delivers automated
monitoring and management support for the PATROL DB-Change
Manager
™
product. When you specify a change or migration, PATROL
DB-Change Manager generates a script to implement the changes. After
successful analysis, you can submit the script to the job scheduler. When
the job starts running, the PATROL DB-Admin KM receives an event and
registers the job. The PATROL DB-Admin KM processes and
consolidates the events and displays them at the PATROL Console
™
.
From the console, you can view the status of jobs and services across the
entire network as well as perform scheduling functions.
Figure 6-1 shows how the PATROL DB-Admin KM interacts with the
PATROL Application Management software and PATROL Database
