Step 5 Read the Welcome page, and click Next to continue.
Note
Use the Next and Back buttons to navigate through the Setup program. To
go back and undo a selection, click Back. To continue, click Next.
Step 6 On the User Information dialog box, enter your name and company
name, then click
Next.
Step 7 If you have a current version of the PATROL Database Administration
products installed, the program prompts you to either keep the current
version or remove it. If you are not prompted, skip to Step 7.
To keep your current version (default), click
Next.
Setup will overwrite any products that you reinstall, or add to the
product directory any new products that you select for installation.
To remove the current version, select the second radio button and
then click
Next.
The products are deleted from the product directory.
Step 8 If you have a version of the products that is earlier than 3.0.01, the
program prompts you to back up the earlier version, to delete it, or to
ignore it. If you are not prompted, skip to Step 8.
To back up the earlier version (default), click
Next.
Setup backs up the earlier version to a directory using the
.bak
extension. If a directory with the .bak extension already exists, the
earlier version is backed up to a directory with a
.00x extension.
To delete the earlier version, select the second radio button and click
Next to continue.
To ignore the earlier version, select the third radio button and click
Next. Choose this option to have both a 2.2.0x version client and a
3.0.01 version client reside on the same hard drive.
