Using Multiple Database Servers
In this scenario, one user uses products with two database servers. One of
the servers runs on host
sapphire and the other runs on host carnelian.
Step 1 Install and configure a Database Administration server on sapphire.
Step 2 Install and configure a Database Administration server on carnelian.
Step 3 Install the Database Administration client on the client machine.
To complete this step, you would use the instructions in “Installing a
Client to Run Locally” on page 7-7.
Step 4 Start the Database Administration client.
Step 5 Configure the Database Administration client, so that it can interact with
both
sapphire and carnelian:
5.A Use the Connection Manager to define hosts.
Your host list will have two entries, one for
sapphire and one for
carnelian.
5.B Use the Connection Manager to create connection profiles.
