3. Remove the bolts, washers and locknuts that secure
the actuator housing and gas cylinder to the wheel-
chair frame as shown in FIGURE 2.
4. Remove trigger release lever w/cable, actuator and
gas cylinder from the wheelchair.
5. Loosen the jam nut on the cylinder rod.
6. Unscrew the gas cylinder from the actuator housing
by turning COUNTERCLOCKWISE.
7. Turn the cable locking nut and cable adjuster nut of
the NEW trigger release lever w/cable CLOCKWISE
so that no threads of the cable are visible.
WARNING
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN the cylinder rod into the
actuator housing. The gas cylinder WILL actuate
possibly causing injury.
8. Slowly screw the EXISTING gas cylinder into the ac-
tuator housing until the actuator lever touches the top
of the actuator housing.
9. Secure top of actuator to the wheelchair frame using
the EXISTING bolt, locknut and washers. Refer to
FIGURE 2 for proper hardware orientation.
10. Line up the bottom of the gas cylinder with the holes
in the wheelchair frame.
NOTE: If necessary, turn the gas cylinder COUN-
TERCLOCKWISE from the actuator housing NO
MORE than 1/2 turn. If turned MORE than 1/2 turn,
the tilt will NOT work properly.
11. Secure the gas cylinder to the whelchair frame using
EXISTING bolt and locknut. Securely tighten.
12. Secure the jam nut on the gas cylinder rod to the
bottom of the actuator housing. Torque to 156-inch
pounds.
13. Secure the NEW trigger release levers to the back
canes using the EXISTING screw and locknut.
WARNING
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN the cable with the tie
wraps. The gas cylinder WILL not work prop-
erly, possibly causing injury.
14. Secure cable to the wheelchair using NEW tie wraps.
Do not overtighten.
15. Repeat STEPS 1 - 14 for opposite side, if necessary.

CABLES in this procedure of the owners manual.
