INSTALLING STROLLER HANDLE
(FIGURE 2)
1. Remove the stroller handle from the accessory
carton.
WARNING
Locking buttons MUST be fully engaged and
protruding through the holes of the handle to
ensure a positive lock.
2. Push in the locking buttons on both sides of the
stroller handle and slide the stroller handle into
the existing push handles until the locking but-
tons are secured.
3. To remove, press in the locking buttons and pull
the stroller handle towards you.

ADJUSTING/REPLACING THE BACK
RELEASE CORD (FIGURE 3)
WARNING
The back MUST be locked securely in place be-
fore using the wheelchair.
NOTE: The back release cord may be adjusted
to a tight or loose fit to meet the need of the
user.
Adjusting the Back Release Cord
1. Press down on the white nylon lock to release
the ends of the back release cord from the cord
fastener.
2. Adjust the back release cord to the desired ten-
sion.
NOTE Some slack in the back release cord may
be necessary to clear the back upholstery.
3. Press up on the white nylon lock to lock the back
release cord in place.

WARNING
After ANY adjustments, repair or service and
BEFORE use, make sure all attaching hardware
is tightened securely - otherwise injury or dam-
age may result.
NOTE: The procedures in this section of the
manual refer to NON-RECLINER seat frames
only. For recliner seat frames, refer to PROCE-
DURE 9 in this manual.
FOLDING/UNFOLDING BACK ASSEMBLY
(FIGURE 1)
NOTE: When folding or unfolding the back, make
sure the back release cord does not get caught
in the release latches.
1. To unfold the back, push/pull the back towards
rear of wheelchair until it locks in place.
WARNING
The back MUST be locked securely in place be-
fore using the wheelchair.
2. To fold the back, pick up on the back release
cord and push the back towards the front of the
wheelchair.
