7.2COMMISSIONINGMODEFUNCTIONS
7.2.1InternalDate/Time
The date and time are used in the transmitter to run time based operations such as impedance
readings and gas calibration checks.The correct date and time should be entered by pressingand
holdingtheOPTIONUP&DOWNkeys.ThedateandtimewillchangefasterthelongertheOPTION
keyisheld.
7.2.2ServiceDate
Theservicedatecanbe usedtokeepa recordofwhena probewaschanged.TheRUNTIMEtimer
whichkeepsatrackofthehoursandminutesthatthetransmitterandprobehasbeenoperatingis
resetwhentheservicedateischanged.
TheservicedateandtheruntimetimercanbedisplayedaslowerlineitemsinRUNmode.
7.2.3NumberofProbes
The9060Ztransmittercanoperateinsingleordualprobemode.Byselectingsingleprobe,alldual
probeoptionsandalarmswillbedisabledandsecondprobeoptionshiddenfromtheuser.
If youare using the transmitter as a single probe device you should set the number of probes to
‘singleprobe’todisableallprobe2alarmsanddisplayitems.
7.2.4Probe1&2Type
Theprobetype functionallowsaselectionbetweenaheated probeandan unheatedprobetypes.
Heatercontrolandalarmswillbedisabledifunheatedprobetypeisselected.
7.2.5Probe1&2ThermocoupleType
The thermocouple type can be set to K, J, R or S. The thermocouple in the Teledyne Analytical
Instruments9060HheatedprobesarealwaysKtype.9060UL/UHunheatedprobesareavailableinR
typeorStype.Otherthermocoupleoptionsaremadeavailableforspecialinstallations.
7.2.6AuxiliaryThermocoupleType
Whenthetransmitterisoperatingasasingleprobemode,theprobe2thermocoupleinput(terminals
7&8)isusedasanauxiliarythermocoupleinput.Indualprobemodethisoptionisunavailable.
Useofanauxiliarythermocoupleallowsforbasicmonitoringoftemperatureaswellasenablingthe
calculationofcombustionefficiency.ThethermocoupletypecanbesettoK,J,RorS.
7.2.7TransmitterOutputChannel1&2
The 9060Z transmitter has two fully configurable 4‐20mA analogue outputs. The channels can be
configuredindependentlytooutputoneofseveralcalculatedvalues.
