4.3INSTALLINGTHEAUXILIARYTHERMOCOUPLE
Welda1/2inchBSPmountingsockettothefluewithinabout300mm(12”),andupstreamofthe
oxygenprobe. Thethermocouple shouldbeofsimilar lengthtothe oxygenprobe toprevent flue
temperaturedistributionerrors.
Thethermocoupleshouldbeconnectedtoterminals7&8.Theseterminalswillnotbeavailableforan
auxiliarythermocoupleifasecondprobehasbeeninstalled.
4.4ASHIELDCONNECTIONS
Allexternalwiringtothe 9060Ztransmittershould beshielded.Donot connectshieldsatthefield
end.Simplyclipoffandinsulate.TherearetwoM4earthscrewterminalsavailableinthe9060Z
transmitter.Anextraterminalstripmayberequiredtoconnectallshieldstogether.Thisshouldbe
suppliedbytheinstaller.
4.4BEARTHCONNECTION(PE)
ThePE(protectiveearth)inputconnectionmustbemadetotheearthstudontherighthandsideof
cabinet. The PE input connection mustbe the first connectiononto the earth stud anditmust be
securedbyaseparatenutandspringwasher.Allotherearthconnections(bondingconnections)can
bemadeoneitherofthetwoearthstudsinthebaseofthecabinet.
ThetransmitterMUSTbesecurelyearthed.

4.5ELECTRICALCONNECTIONS
Allwiringshouldcomplywithlocalelectricalcodes.Theprintedcircuitboardsarefullyfloatingabove
earth.Theincomingsafetyearth(PE)mustbeconnectedtotheprimaryearthstudintherighthand
sideofthebasecabinet.
Thelocalfuseforthemainspowersupply,theisolationswitchandthesupplywirin
gmustallcomply
withtheelectricalsafetycodesandmustonlybeinstalledbyqualifiedtechnicians.Allearthandshield
connectionsshouldbeconnectedtotheearthscrewsinsidethecase.
