HbA1c. An abbreviated name for a glycated hemoglobin test/test result. Also commonly
referred to as A1c. An HbA1c test result indicates your average glucose level over the past 3
to 4 months.
Health Checks Report. A OneTouch
®
DMS Report that displays home, lab, and doctor exam/
test results.
Health Record. A data record that contains home, lab, or doctor exam/test results.
HIGH glucose readings. Glucose readings that were above the linear range of the meter.
OneTouch
®
DMS Reports will display HIGH readings as either 501 mg/dL (27.8 mmol/L) or
601 mg/dL (33.4 mmol/L) depending on the meter from where the reading was taken.
HIGH readings will also be converted to these values for calculation purposes.
Histogram Report. A OneTouch
®
DMS Report that displays glucose readings by Meal Slot
over a set of pre-defined glucose ranges.
hover-over. The OneTouch
®
DMS feature that lets you display ToolTip information about a
particular reading by moving the mouse cursor over the value.
hypoglycemia. A medical condition in which the glucose level is too low.
injection. An insulin dose administered by syringe or pen.
Insulin Report. A OneTouch
®
DMS Report that displays glucose readings, carbs, and insulin
doses over the same Meal Slots.
ketones. A compound produced when not enough insulin is available to help the body break
down glucose. The presence of ketones in the urine is a sign that glucose levels have been
very high.
Logbook Report. This OneTouch
®
DMS Report displays daily glucose readings and other
data in a logbook format. Data are sorted by Date and Meal Slot.
LOW glucose readings. Glucose readings that were below the linear range of the meter.
Meal Slot. How the OneTouch
®
DMS organizes the day into separate time periods. Many of
the OneTouch
®
DMS Reports organize data by Meal Slot.
Menu Bar. An area above the Tool Bar that contains a series of text Headers that you can click
on to display drop-down menus for OneTouch
®
DMS functions. You can select any menu
option to perform that Software task.
