Oil Pump
•
Install the outer rotor [A] on the inner rotor.
○
Apply engine oil to the outer rotor.
•
Install the dowel pin [B].
•
Fit the pin of the oil pump cover into the hole [C] in the
crankcase.
○
Turn the oil pump gear shaft [A] so that the projection [B]
in its shaft fits onto the slot [C] of the impeller shaft.
•
Tighten the oil pump cover bolts.
Torque - Oil Pu mp Cover Bolts: 10 N·m (1.0 kg f·m, 89 in·lb)
•
Install the oil pump gear (see Oil Pump Gear Installation).

Remove the clutch (see Clutch Removal in the Clutch
chapter).
•
Hold the oil pump gear [A] steady with the gear holder [B],
and remove the bolts [C].
Special Tool - Gear Holder: 57001-1599
•
Remove the oil pump gear.

Install the oil pump gear [A] direction as shown.
