Water Pump
•
Turn the impeller shaft so that the slot [A] in its shaft fits
onto the projection [B] of the oil pump gear shaft.
CAUTION
Do not pinch the gear position switch lead.
•
Install the water hose [A] and hose clamp [B] as shown.
White Mark [C]
•
Tighten:
Torque - Water Hose Clamp Screw: 2.0 N·m (0.20 kgf·m, 18
in·lb)
•
Install the water pump cover [A].
Torque - Water Pump Cover Bolts: 1.0 N ·m (1.0 kgf·m, 89
in·lb)
•
Align the line [B] of the water pump cover and the white
mark[C]ofthewaterhose[D].
•
Install the water hose [E] clamps [F] as shown.

•
Tighten:
Torque - Water Hose Clamp Screw: 2.0 N·m (0.20 kgf·m, 18
in·lb)
Water Pump Impeller Inspection
•
Remove the water pump cover (see Water Pump Re-
moval).
•
Visually inspect the water pump impeller [A].
If the surface is corroded or if the blades are damaged,
replace the water pump assy.
