After ANY adjustments, repair or service and BEFORE use, make sure all attaching
hardware is tightened securely.
CAUTION
DO NOT overtighten hardware attaching to the frame. This could cause damage to
the frame tubing.
Suggested Maintenance Procedures
1. Beforeusingthewheelchair,makesureallnutsandboltsaretight.Checkallpartsfor
damageorwearandreplace.Checkallpartsforproperadjustment.
2. Keepquick‐releaseaxlesfreeofdirtandlinttoensurepositivelockingandproper
operation.RefertoAdjustingtheQuick‐ReleaseAxleonpage 62.
3. Oilquick‐releaseaxlesatleastonceamonth(3‐in‐1™oilorequivalent).
4. NON‐RECLINERSEATFRAMES‐Periodicallycheckthebackfolddown
mechanismstoensurethattheylockthebacksecurelyinplace.Disassembleandclean
ifnecessary.RefertoReplacingtheLockingMechanismintheBackCaneonpage 52.
