For accurate results, the code number on the
meter must match the code number on the
test strip bottle.

Obtain a drop of blood.
Obtain capillary blood by puncturing the
finger using a lancing device. The puncture
site should be cleaned and thoroughly dried
before obtaining the sample. Follow your
institution’s policy and procedure
guidelines.

Apply blood to the test strip as follows:
Finger Stick
Carefully touch the center of the pink test
square to the drop of blood on the patient’s
finger. The test area will quickly absorb the
blood.
