ADJUSTING THE FOOTBOARD
ASSEMBLY ANGLE (FIGURE 3)
1. Loosen the jam nut and washer.
2. Adjust the mounting screw up or down to ob-
tain the desired footboard assembly angle.
3. Thread the jam nut and washer upwards until
it is flush with the footboard bracket.
4. Securely tighten the jam nut and washer to
secure the mounting screw in place.
WARNING
Both mounting screws MUST be adjusted to
the same length to obtain the same
footboard assembly angle and distribute the
weight of the user evenly. Otherwise, injury to
the user and/or damage to the wheelchair
may occur.
5. Count the number of exposed threads be-
tween the mounting screw and the jam nut.
6. Repeat STEPS 1-4 for the mounting screw
on the opposite side of the footboard assem-
bly, setting the screw at distance determined
in STEP 5.
