ƽ WARNING
After any adjustments, repair or service and before use, make sure all attaching
hardware is tightened securely. Otherwise injury or damage may occur.
Installing the Telescoping I.V. Rod/O
2
Holders
ƽ WARNING
Make sure the telescoping I.V. rod is tightly locked before placing I.V. medication on
the rod.
The telescoping I.V. rod is designed for the specific purpose of supporting I.V.
medication only. DO NOT use it to support objects other than I.V. medication.
Check weekly to make sure the telescoping I.V. rod/O
2
holder is tightly secured to the
wheelchair frame. If there is any looseness whatsoever, DO NOT use until the corrective
adjustments have been made.
The telescoping I.V. rod/O
2
holders clean easily with any household glass type cleaner.
NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 12.1.
Mounting Instructions
1. Slide telescoping I.V. rod/O
2
holder over the step tube of the wheelchair.
NOTE: Mounting bracket of telescoping I.V. rod/O
2
holder should be positioned below the two axle
mounting positions on wheelchair frame.
2. Secure telescoping I.V. rod/O
2
holder to the wheelchair frame with hex screw, spacer and
locknut.
3. Telescoping I.V./O
2
Rod Holder Only: Secure the top of the telescoping I.V. rod holder
to the wheelchair frame with a tie wrap.
Cleaning
ƽ WARNING
The user and O
2
cylinder must be removed from the wheelchair when cleaning the
O
2
holder. Otherwise, injury or damage may occur if cleaning agents come in
con-tact with the O
2
regulator.
1. Remove the user, any I.V. medication and the
O
2
cylinder from the wheelchair.
2. The telescoping I.V. rod/
O
2
holders clean easily with any household glass type cleaner.
3. After the cleaning solution has dried, it is safe for the user to re-occupy the wheelchair.
