11.7 Adjusting Wheelbase Width
1. Remove the rear wheels. Refer to Removing/Installing Rear Wheels on page 66.
2. Loosen the axle nut and rotate axle busing to increase/decrease the wheelbase width.
3. Securely tighten axle nut. Torque nut to 30-35 ft.-lbs.
4. Count the number of threads showing on the axle bushing or
measure the amount of axle bushing showing beyond the axle nut.
5. Repeat STEPS 2-4 for the opposite axle bushing.
6. Install the rear wheels. Refer to Removing/Installing Rear Wheels
on page 66

Perform this procedure on one side of the wheelchair at a time for ease of adjustment.
