config time
Purpose Used to manually configure system time and date settings.
Syntax
config time <date ddmthyyyy> <time hh:mm:ss>
Description This command is used to configure the system time and date settings. These will be
overridden if SNTP is configured and enabled.
Parameters date – Express the date using two numerical characters for the day of the month, three
alphabetical characters for the name of the month, and four numerical characters for the
year. For example: 03aug2003.
time – Express the system time using the format hh:mm:ss, that is, two numerical
characters each for the hour using a 24–hour clock, the minute and second. For example:
19:42:30.
Restrictions Only Administrator and Operator-level users can issue this command. Manually
configured system time and date settings are overridden if SNTP support is enabled.
Example usage:
To manually set system time and date settings:
DGS–3426:5#config time 30jun2003 16:30:30
Command: config time 30jun2003 16:30:30
Success.

config time_zone
Purpose Used to determine the time zone used in order to adjust the system clock.
Syntax
config time_zone {operator [+ | –] | hour <gmt_hour 0–13> | min <minute 0–59>}
Description This command is used to adjust system clock settings according to the time zone. Time
zone settings will adjust SNTP information accordingly.
Parameters operator – Choose to add (+) or subtract (–) time to adjust for time zone relative to GMT.
hour – Select the number of hours different from GMT.
min – Select the number of minutes difference added or subtracted to adjust the time
zone.
Restrictions Only Administrator and Operator-level users can issue this command.
