It’s possible to use the S-1608/S-0816 with S-4000S or S-4000H in the following configuration.
Connection to S-4000S/S-4000H
The S-4000S input/output module (SI-AD4, SI-AES4/SO-DA4, SO-AES4) is set up as shown below. You
should not attach nor remove the module. Be sure to consult with the nearest Roland Service Center.

not output anything.
