Appendix C RX2 Battery Charger
Introduction
The RX2 battery charger is:
• Intended for indoor use only.
• Not to be used for charging non-rechargeable batteries
• To be used only with the 4000 mAh RX2 internal HiMH battery.
Caution
Nickel-based cells contain a chemical solution which burns skin, eyes, etc. Leakage
from cells is the only possible way for such exposure to occur. In this event, rinse
the affected area thoroughly with water. If the solution contacts the eyes, get
immediate medical attention.
Please read all instructions before using the RX2 Battery Charger.
Operation
The RX2 battery charger accepts AC power input.

The charger can be used to charge an internal RX2 battery in less than six hours. The battery
changer can operate in environments from 32°F to 104°F (0°C to 40°C).
The charger has a red LED that indicates the status of the charger:
• Rapid flashing – The charger is in deep discharge mode (the charger remains in deep
discharge mode until the battery voltage exceeds 10.5V then the charger switches to
standard charging mode)
• Solid – The charger is in standard charging mode.
• Slowly flashing – The battery is charged and ready for use. The charger provides a
trickle charge to keep the battery at full charge.
