Installing
CAUTION
DO NOT remove the retaining clip before the spring lift mechanism is secured to
the wheelchair. If the retaining clip is removed, the spring lift mechanism will
compress. This will make the spring lift mechanism unusable.
NOTE:Ifinstallinganewspringliftmechanism,assemblyisshippedwithretainingclipattached.
1. Installspringliftmechanism.
2. Installthemountingscrew,spacer,andlocknutthatsecuresthebottomofthespring
liftmechanismtothewheelchairframe.
3. Installthelocknutthatsecuresthetopofthespringliftmechanismtothewheelchair
frame.
CAUTION
DO NOT overtighten the attaching hardware of the spring lift mechanism. Other-
wise, damage may occur.
4. TightenbothlocknutsfromSTEPS2‐3untilone(1)totwo(2)fullthreadsareexposed.
5. Removeretainingclip.
NOTE:Ifretainingclipcannotberemoved,contactInvacaretechnicalsupportatthenumber
listedonthebackcover.
6. Returnwheelchairtonormalposition.
