1. Ifchangingbackcanes,removethe
existingbackupholstery.Referto
ReplacingtheBackUpholsteryinthe
Owner’sManual,partnumber1056953.
Otherwise,proceedtoSTEP2.
2. Flipswingbackarmsupandoutofthe
way.RefertoSwing‐BackArmsinthe
Owner’sManual,partnumber1056953.
3. Removethemountingscrewand
locknutthatsecuretheexistingback
canetothewheelchairframe.
NOTE:Makeanoteofmountingscrewand
locknutorientationforreinstallation.
4. Removeexistingbackcaneifchanging
heightrange.
5. RepeatSTEPS2‐3foroppositesideof
wheelchair.
6. Slidethenew/existingbackcanesinto
thewheelchairframe.

7. Lineupmountingholesinthewheelchairframeandthenew/existingbackcanes.
NOTE:Thebackcanescontainathreadedinsert.Makesuremountingholesintheinsertlineup

8. Installnew/existing
backcanebyperformingthefollowing:
A. Threadexistingmountingscrewthroughthethreadedinsertofthenew/existing
backcanes.
B. Securelytightenmountingscrewandlocknutthatsecurethenew/existingback
canetothewheelchairframe.
9. Ifchangingbackcanes,securelytightenthenewbackupholsterytothebackcanes.
RefertoReplacingtheBackUpholsteryintheOwner’sManual,partnumber1056953.
Otherwise,proceedtoSTEP9.
