2. Removethefour(4)buttonscrewsandlocknutsthatsecurethetwo(2)pivotlinksto
thewheelchairframeandcrossbraces.
3. Removethetwo(2)buttonscrews,locknutsandcrossbracesaddlethatsecuresthe
bottomofthecrossbracetothewheelchairframe.Repeatforothercrossbrace.
4. Removethehexscrew,covedwashers,washersandlocknutthatsecurethetwo(2)
crossbracestogether.SeeDetailʺBʺofFIGURE3.4.
NOTE:Makenoteoftheorientationofthecovedwashers,washersandlocknutforassemblingthe
newcrossbraces.RefertoDetailʺBʺofFIGURE3.4.
5. Assemblethetwo(2)newcrossbracestogetherwiththeexistinghexscrew,coved
washers,washersandlocknut.Securelytighten.RefertoDetailʺBʺofFIGURE3.4for
hardwareorientation.
6. Determinethecorrectpivotlinkandmountingholetousewiththedesiredseatwidth.
Refertothefollowingchart.
*NOTE:16,18,and20‐incharetheonlycrossbracesettingsavailableonthe9000SL.
7. Securethepivotlinktothecrossbracesandwheelchairframewiththefour(4)button
screwsandlocknuts.Securelytighten.
NOTE:Positioncrossbracesaddleonwheelchairframeusingthewasherontheundersideofthe
wheelchairframeasareference.RefertoDetailʺAʺofFIGURE3.4
forproperpositioningofthe
crossbracesaddle.
8. Reinstallthetwo(2)buttonscrews,locknutsandcrossbracesaddlethatsecurethe
bottomofthenewcrossbracetothewheelchairframe.RefertoDetailʺBʺofFIGURE
3.4forhardwareorientation.Repeatforoppositecrossbrace.Securelytighten.
9. Installthenewbackandseatupholstery
ontothewheelchair.RefertoReplacingBack
UpholsteryandReplacingSeatUpholsteryintheownerʹsmanual,partnumber
