• Copy all
copies all characters in the current text message field.
• Paste
inserts the previously cut or copied text into the message
field.
• Input method
selects the text input method used when the
QWERTY keyboard is not open (Swype or Samsung keypad).
Using the QWERTY Keyboard
In this section we’ll cover the steps necessary to enter text using
the QWERTY keyboard. Using your phone's QWERTY keyboard
is just like using any standard computer keyboard. The following
keys perform special functions when entering text:
Alt
: Allows you to use the alternate characters
displayed at the top of the QWERTY keys.
Examples: +, @, #.
Shift
: Changes the text input mode between
Upper/Lower/Mixed case mode.
Up/Go to
: Press to move up. Press Alt and this
key to open the browser and access the chosen
homepage. For more information, refer to
“Browser Options” on page 121.
Sym
: Allows you to insert a symbol by providing
you with an on-screen page of available
symbols.
Space
: Inserts an empty space.
OK
: Press to confirm a highlighted selection.
Enter
: Moves the insertion point to the next line in
a message.
