While in

mode, press the key labeled with the number that
you wish to insert into your message. For example, press
to enter the number ‘4’ in your message.
Entering Symbols
Symbol mode enables you to enter symbols such as @ or % in a
text message.
Note:
See “Changing the Text Entry Mode” on page 48 for instructions on
changing text entry modes.
1. While in
Symbols
mode, use the
Prev
soft key and the
Next
soft key to page through the symbols, if necessary.
2. Press the key that corresponds to the symbol that you wish
to enter. For example, press for an exclamation point
(!).
Note:
You can also use the navigation keys to highlight the desired symbol
and then press
to enter the selected symbol into your message.
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 to insert as many symbols into your
message as desired.
