Section 3: Menu Navigation
This section explains the menu navigation for your phone.
Menu Navigation
Access the menus and sub-menus in your phone using the
Navigation key ( ) and soft keys ( ), or use a
shortcut.
1. In Standby mode, select
Menu
. The first of several menus
appears in the display.
2. Use the Navigation key to browse through the menus.
3. Press to enter the menu or sub-menu that appears in
the display.
Menu Shortcuts
Use shortcuts to quickly access menus and sub-menus. Select
Menu
, then press the number to the left of the menu label to
jump to the desired menu, sub-menu, or feature.
Return to the Previous Menu

Press
Back
to return to a previous menu.

When
Back
does not appear in the display,
press to
return to the
previous menu.
Example:
To jump to the
Outbox
sub-menu from Standby mode, select
Menu
,
then press (for Messages) and for Outbox.
Navigation Key Shortcuts
In Standby mode, press the Navigation key Up or Down to launch
the corresponding applications in the pattern shown here.

These shortcuts can be customized. For more information, refer to
“Shortcut Key” on page 72.
Shortcut Icons
In Standby mode, a pattern of four of the following icons indicate
the current Shortcut Key assignments:
