HI Reading
If your test is above 500 mg/dL (27.8 mmol/L),
HI appears on the display screen. This indicates
severe hyperglycemia (high blood glucose).
HI Reading with Symptoms
If you feel symptoms such as fatigue, thirst, excess
urination, or blurry vision, then follow your
doctor’s recommendation to treat hyperglycemia.
HI Reading without Symptoms
If you get a HI reading, but have no symptoms
of high blood glucose, then retest with a new test
strip. If you still get a HI reading, follow your
doctor’s recommendation to treat hyperglycemia.
