6. Startup
• Insert the centering key through the corre-
sponding openings (44.1) in the condenser
holder.
• Turn the centering screws until the dark ring
(phase ring in the objective) is congruent with
the slightly narrower bright ring (light ring in
condenser) (43 c).
• Repeat the process for all other phase con-
trast objectives.
• Remove the centering keys after the centering
procedure.
Note:
During change of objectives the centering keys
must not remain in the openings of the
condenser.
