Connecting the Humidifier

(ifsoprescribedandonlywithContinuous FlowMode)

ƽ WARNING

DONOTuseahumidifier whileinPulseMode.

DONOTov erfill humidifier.

DONOTreversetheoxygeninputandoutputconnections.

Waterfromthehumidifierbottlewilltravelthroughthe

cannulabacktothepatient.

NOTE:Forthisprocedure,refertoFIGURE6.3andFIGURE6.4onpage 25.

NOTE:Connectthehumidifieronlyifprescribed.Usethehumidifieronlyin

ContinuousFlow Mode.

1. Removecapfrombottle.

2. Fillhumidifierwithdistil ledwatertothelevelindicatedbythe

manufacturer.Replacethehumidifiercapand securelytighten.

3. Attach

thehumidifierbott leadaptertothehumidifierbottlebyturning 

thewingnutonthehumidifierbott lecounterclockwiseuntilitis

securelyfastened.SeeDETA IL“A ”inFIGURE6.4.

4. Placethehumidifierbottle/adapterassemblyintheoutsidepocketof

theaccessorybag.Attachtheaccessorybagtothepullcartas

shownin

5. Rotatethebottlewithinthepocketsothatthehumidifieradapterhose

isaw ayfrom thebodyofthetransportableoxygenconcentrator.

6. Attachoxygentubingfromthehumidifierbottle/adapterassemblyto

oxygenoutletconnectorontheconcentrator. SeeDETAIL“B”in

7. Attachthecannula/patientsupplytubing

tothe humidifierbottleoutlet.
