TheInvacareStandUpLiftisdesignedtoprovideamaximumofsafe,efficientand
satisfactoryservicewithminimumcareandmaintenance.
Allpartsofthestandupliftaremadeofthebestgradesofsteel,butmetaltometalcontact
willwearafterconsiderableuse.
Thereisnoadjustmentormaintenanceofeitherthecastersorbrakes,otherthancleaning,
lubricationandcheckingaxleandswivelboltsfortightness.Removealldebris,etc.from
thewheelandswivelbearings.Ifanypartsareworn,replacethesepartsimmediately.
Ifyouquestionthesafetyofanypartofthelift,contactyourdealerimmediatelyand
advisethemoftheproblem.
Lubricating the Lift
NOTE:Forthisprocedure,refertoFIGURE 7.1.
TheInvacareliftisdesignedforminimummaintenance.However,asixmonthcheckand
lubricationshouldensurecontinuedsafetyandreliability.
Keepliftandslingscleanandingood
workingorder.Anydefectshouldbenoted
andreportedtoyourdealerassoonas
possible.
ThecastersMUSTswivelandroll
smoothly.Alightgrease(waterproofauto
lubricant)maybeappliedtotheball
bearingswivelofthecastersonceayear.
Applymorefrequentlyifthecastersare
exposedtoextrememoistconditions.
Lubricateallpivotpoints.Wipeallexcess
lubricantfromliftsurface.

Detecting Wear and Damage
Itisimportanttoinspectallstressedparts,suchasslings,spreaderbarandanypivotfor
slingsforsignsofcracking,fraying,deformationordeterioration.Replaceanydefective
partsimmediatelyandensurethattheliftisnotuseduntilrepairsaremade.
Cleaning the Sling and the Lift
Theslingshouldbewashedregularlyinwatertemperatureof180°F(82°C)anda
biologicalsolution.Asoftcloth,dampenedwithwaterandasmallamountofmild
detergent,isallthatisneededtocleanthestanduplift.Theliftcanbecleanedwithnon
abrasivecleaners.
