Adjusting the Seat Width

NOTE:Whenadjustingtheseatwidthofthewheelchair,thebackandseatupholsteryMUSTbechanged.Ifapplicable,theheadrest
pillowandheadrestupholsteryMUSTbechangedaswell.
1. Removetheexistingbackandseatupholsteryfromthewheelchair.Referto
ReplacingBackUpholsteryonpage 26and
ReplacingSeatUpholstery
onpage 26.
2. Removethefourbuttonscrewsandlocknutsthatsecurethetwopivotlinkstothewheelchairframeandcrossbraces.
3. Removethetwobuttonscrews,locknutsandcrossbracesaddlethatsecuresthebottomofthecrossbracetothe
wheelchairframe.Repeatforothercrossbrace.
4. Removethehexscrew,covedwashers,
washersandlocknutthatsecurethetwocrossbracestogether.SeeDetailʺBʺ.

5. Assemblethetwonewcrossbracestogetherwiththeexistinghexscrew,cov edwashers,washersandlocknut.Securely
tighten.RefertoDetailʺBʺforhardwareorientation.
6. Determinethecorrectpivotlinkandmounting
holetousewiththedesiredseatwidth.Seechartbelow.
7. Securethepivotlinkstothecrossbracesandwheelchairframewiththefourbuttonscrewsandlocknuts.Securely
tighten.
NOTE:Positioncrossbracesaddleonwheelchairframeusingthewasherontheundersideofthewheelchairframeasareference.See
DetailʺAʺforproperpositioningofthecrossbracesaddle.
8. Reinstallthetwobuttonscrews,locknutsandcrossbracesaddlethatsecuresthebottomofthenewcrossbracetothe
wheelchairframe.RefertoDetailʺBʺforhardwareorientation.Repeatforoppositecrossbrace.Securelyti ghten.
9. Installthenewbackandseatupholsteryontothe
wheelchair.RefertoReplacingBackUpholsteryonpage 26and
ReplacingSeatUpholsteryonpage 26.
