q Clean upholstery and armrests.
q Clean dirt and lint from axles.
q Clean dirt and lint from bearings.
q Check that all labels are present andlegible. Replace if necessary.
q Ensure upholstery does not have any rips or tears.
q Inspect seat positioning strap for any signs of wear. Ensure
buckle latches. Verify hardware that attaches strap to frame is
secure and undamaged. Replace if necessary.
q Ensure personal transporter rolls straight (no excessive drag or
pull to one side).
q Ensure that there is no excessive side movement or binding
when drive wheels are lifted and spun when disengaged
(free-wheeling).
q Ensure drive wheel mounting hardware is properly secure.
q Inspect tires for flat spots and wear.
q Ensure that the casters are free of debris.
q Ensure wheels/casters have proper tension when wheels/casters
are spun (when free-wheeling). Wheels/casters should come
to a gradual stop.
q Loosen/tighten caster locknut if wheel wobbles noticeably or
binds to a stop.
q Ensure all caster/wheel/fork/headtube fasteners are secure and
not damaged/missing.
q Check that cables are routed and secured properly to ensure
that cables do NOT become entangled and damaged during
normal operation of seating system.
q Ensure proper operation of powered functions (drive, seating,
legrests, ect...).
q Inspect electrical components for signs of corrosion. Replace if
corroded or damaged.
q Inspect battery terminals for loose cable connection. Tighten if
necessary.
q Inspect all fasteners.
