8. Insertthekeyintotheignitionandturnittotheonposition.

ALWAYS depress the throttle control lever gradually. This will ensure smooth safe
starts.
NOTE:Throttlecontrolleversoperatesuchthatmovingonewillalsomovetheoppositeside
throttlecontrollever.
9. Tooperatethescooter,depressthethrottlecontrolleverinthefollowingmanner:
•ToMoveForward‐Pushtherightsidethrottlecontrollever(awayfromtheuser)
orpulltheleftsidethrottle
controllevertowardstheuser).
•ToMoveinReverse‐Pushtheleftsidethrottlecontrollever(awayfromtheuser)
orpulltherightsidethrottlecontrollever(towardstheuser).
•ToStop‐Releasethethrottlecontrolleverandthepoweredscooterwillquickly
slowdownandthebrakewillengage.
NOTE:
Toequipthescooterforlefthandoperation,contactaqualifiedtechnician.
Thepoweredscooterisequippedwithaʺproportionalʺcontrolmeaningthatthefarther
youdepressthethrottlecontrollever,thefasterthepoweredscootertravels.Witha
proportionalcontrol,youcandriveasslowlyinthehighspeedsettingasyoucaninthe
lowspeedsetting.Yourtopspeed,however,islimitedbythesettingofthespeedcontrol
knob.Forsafetyreasons,reversespeedislimitedtoapproximately50%offorwardspeed.
Whenfirstlearningtodrive,adjustspeedcontrolknobforaslowspeedandtrytodrive
thepoweredscooterasslowlyaspossiblebydepressingthethrottlecontrolleveronly
slightly.Thisexercisewillhelpyoulearntoutilizethefullpotentialoftheproportional
controlandallowyoutostartandstopsmoothly.
