8. Rotate the adjustment cam until it sits flush in the
channel of the caster headtube.
NOTE: An indexing notch has been put on the
adjustment cam to help determine the position of
the adjustment cam on the opposite caster
headtube.
9. Reinstall the washer and locknut that secure the
adjustment cam to the caster headtube.
10. Repeat STEPS 2-9 for the opposite side of the
wheelchair.

Leading or Trailing Caster Headtube Positioning
Offset Caster Headtubes Only
LEADING. Mount the casters on the wheelchair frame
with the caster headtube towards the front of the wheel-
chair to Lengthen the Wheelbase.
TRAILING. Mount the casters on the wheelchair frame
with the caster headtube towards the rear of the wheel-
chair to Shorten the Wheelbase.
NOTE: The wheelchair is shipped from the fac-
tory with the caster headtube in the TRAILING po-
sition.
Mounting Caster Headtubes on the Inside of the
Wheelchair Frame
WARNING
Mounting casters on the inside of the wheelchair
frame WILL reduce the stability of the wheelchair.
Try various caster positions to find the safest
caster position for your needs.
NOTE: To mount the caster headtubes on the in-
side of the wheelchair frame, reposition the right
caster headtube on the left side of the wheelchair
and the left caster headtube on the right side of
the wheelchair.
Height Adjustment
Depending on the seat-to-floor height required, it may
be necessary to reposition the caster headtube on the
wheelchair frame to an upper or lower position.
Repositioning the Caster Headtubes
1. Determine the front caster position required for
the desired seat-to-floor height. Refer to CHANG-
ING SEAT-TO-FLOOR HEIGHT in PROCEDURE
9 of this manual.
2. Remove the attaching hardware that secures the
caster headtube to the wheelchair.
3. Reposition the caster headtube to the position
determined in STEP 1.
4. Re-secure the caster headtube to the wheelchair
with the existing hardware. Refer to FIGURE 5
correct hardware orientation.
5. Repeat STEPS 2-4 for the opposite side of the
wheelchair.
