Settings
Many different features of your phone can be
customised to suit your preferences in the
Settings menu.
Phone
(Menu 9-1)
In this menu, you can set options for the phone.
LCD Brightness
You can adjust the brightness of the screen.
Press the or key to make the screen darker
or brighter and press the Save soft key.
Backlight
YYou can set the timer to go to dimming mode
when no key is input, which consumes less
battery power. To use the backlight, select the
length of time the phone waits before it dimmes
the screen after the last key is pressed. After
phone goes to dimming mode, the phone will
turn the screen off a few minutes later. When
your phone is in dimmed mode or screen off, you
can wake up by pressing anykey. Selecting
Always on means that the phone does not use
dimming mode and the screen is always on.
Language
You can select a different language for the
display text and the text input mode.
1. Press the OK key in the Screen Text field.
2. Press the or key to select a language
for the display text, such as menu names and
warning or confirming messages, and press
the Select soft key.
3. Press the key to move to the Input T9
field and press the OK key.
4. Press the or key to select a language
for the T9 input mode and press the Select
soft key.
5. Press the Save soft key.

Shortcuts
You can set the navigation keys can be used as
shortcut keys to the menu functions you use
most frequently. In the idle mode, they allow you
to access specific menu options directly.
1. Press the each navigation key to check the
current funtion assigned, and select a naviga-
tion key.
2. Press the Options soft key to use following
options.
Assign/Change: assigns or changes a
funtion of the selected navigation key.
Select a function from the function list and
press the Select soft key to select it.
Remove: removes the menu funtion of the
selected navigaiton key.
Remove all: removes all the functions
assigened to the navigation keys.
Active Folder
When this option is set to On, you can simply
open the folder to answer a call.
When it is set to Off, you must open the folder
and press a key, depending on the setting of the
Anykey Answer opion.
Press the or key to select On or Off, and
press the Save soft key.
Anykey Answer
When this option is set to On, you can answer an
incoming call by pressing any key except the
key and the Reject soft key.
When this option is set to Off, you can only press
the key or the Accept soft key to answer.
Press the or key to select On or Off, and
press the Save soft key.
Display
(Menu 9-2)
This menu allows you to customise the main
display screen by setting a greeting message or
wallpaper image or changing the theme colour.
