BMI function
The Body Mass Index (BMI) is intended only for weighing people. It is used to assess whether people
are within the normal weight range or are overweight.
The BMI is calculated according to the following formula:

The unit for the BMI is therefore kg/m2.
BMI classification separated according to gender:
Classification m f
Underweight <20 <19
Normal weight 20-25 19-24
Overweight 25-30 24-30
Adiposity 30-40 30-40
Severe adiposity >40 >40
Setting the mode of operation
• Press the Print key and the F key simultaneously; setting mode appears in the display.
• The arrow points to "Program Settings". Confirm with the Print key.
• The arrow points to "General" .
• Use the Tare key to scroll down to "Weighing + Taring" and confirm with the Print key.
• The arrow points to "F key". Confirm with the Print key.
• The arrow points to the last activated function.
• Scroll to "BMI function" using the Tare key and accept with the Print key. A beep tone confirms
acceptance.
• Exit setting mode with the ORG key. The weight value is displayed.
Application
Press the F key.
The message "Input body size" appears.
Input your body size in metres.
Confirm with the Print key.
Now, parallel to the person's weight, the BMI value is displayed in the additional display.
The BMI display can be switched off by pressing the F key again.
