Answer mode
With this option activated, your phone will allow you to select a specific answer
mode when you receive an incoming call. Your phone can be preset to answer
when you do any of the following:
•
By SEND key: You can answer the phone by pressing .
• By Flip Open: You can answer the phone by opening the phone’s flip.
• By any key: You can answer the call by pressing any key.
To set Answer Mode:
1. In standby mode, press to display the main menu.
2. Press for
Setup.
3. Press for
Answer Mode. The Answer Mode screen displays.
4. Use the toggle arrows to highlight an option. The options are:
By flip open, By SEND key, and By any key.
5. Press to save your option.
6. Pressing returns you to the previous screen.
Tone length
Some older phones recognize only longer tones. Therefore you may have to
change the tone length for some calls. When calling a paging system or a credit
card company remember that your phone should be set in the normal mode.
To change the tone length:
1. In standby mode, press to display the main menu.
2. Press for
Setup.
3. Press for
Tone Length. The Tone Length screen displays.
4. Use the toggle arrows to toggle between “
normal”, and “long”.
5. Press to save your option.
6. Pressing returns you to the previous screen.
