9.4ResponseTimeinSetupMode
Theanalogoutputresponsetimeisnotguaranteedwhileaparametervalueisbeingchangedorif
thereisacontinuousstreamofcommandsfromthehost.
ThedigitalresponsetimespecifieshowquicklytheunitcanreportatemperaturechangeviaRS485in
burst mode. (Digital response time is not
defined for polled mode.) The digital response time is
definedasthetime thatelapses betweenachangeintargettemperatureandthetransmissionof a
burststringreportingthenewtemperature.Actualdigitalresponsetimecanvaryfromonereadingto
thenext,sothedigitalresponsetimeis
definedasthe“averagedigitalresponsetime.”
Theaveragedigitalresponsetimedependsonthenumberofcharactersrequestedintheoutputstring
andwiththebaudrate.Itmaybecomputedasthefollowing:
