triggeranotherreading.IfPeakHoldissetto0.0seconds,thefunctionisdeactivated.

IfPeakHoldhasbeenactivated,thePeak
LEDwillstaylit.
OncePeakHoldissetabove0,itautomaticallyactivates.Theoutputsignalremainsthesameuntilone
oftwothingshappens:
• Thepeakholdtimerunsout.Inthiscase,thesignalrevertstoactualtemperature.

The actual temperature goes above the hold temperature. In this case, starts holding new
peak.
Notethatotherholdfunctions(likeValleyHoldorAveraging)cannotbeusedconcurrently.
Bymeansofthesoftwareotherholdfunctionsareadjustable(e.g.AdvancedPeakHold).
6.2.6Averaging(AVG)
Averagingcanbeusefulwhenanaveragetemperatureoveraspecificdurationisdesired,orwhena
smoothingoffluctuatingtemperaturesisrequired.
The averaging algorithm simulates a first order low pass RC filter whose time constant can be
adjustedtomatchthe user’saveragingneeds.Thefollowing figureillustrates an
averagingoutput
