Adjusting Wheelbase Width

1. Removetherearwheels.RefertoRemoving/InstallingRearWheels
onpage 35.
2. Torquetheaxlenutto
increase/decreasethewheelbasewidth.
3. Countthenumberofthreadsshowing
ontheaxlebolt.
NOTE:Thenumberofthreadsshowingonthe
axleboltshouldbeequalonbothsidesofthe
wheelchair.Otherwise,wheelchair performance
maybeaffected.
4. RepeatSTEPS2‐3forthe
oppositeaxle
nutandaxlebolt.
NOTE:Axleboltremovedfromaxletubefor
clarity.Itisnotnecessarytoremovetheaxle
boltforthisprocedure.

ƽ WARNING
NEVER position the camber inserts in the axle tube with more than 3 inches (12
indexing marks showing) of the camber insert outside of the axle tube. The camber
inserts will not be securely tightened in the axle tube. Possible injury to the user or
damage to the wheelchair may occur.
2. Positioncamberinserttothedesiredposition.Makesuretherearenomorethan3
inches(12indexingmarksshowing)ofthecamberinsertsoutsideoftheaxletube.
3. Slidetheindexingringonthecamberinsertuntilitisflushwiththecamberclamp.
NOTE:Beforeusingthewheelchair,make
surebothcamberinsertsaresetatthesameindexing
mark.Thiswillmakesurethedistancebetweentherearwheelandthewheelchairisthesameon
bothsides.
