A4 Camber System
Course Adjustment
NOTE:Forthisprocedure,refertoFIGURE 5.10.
NOTE:Thisprocedureisrequiredanytimetheaxletubeismovedfromthefactorysetpositionor
isreplaced.
NOTE:Makethefollowingadjustmentforonecamberatatime.
1. Openthecamberclamps.RefertoOpening/ClosingCamberClampsonpage 39.
2. Loosenthephillipsscrewsthatsecuretheadjustmentringstotheaxletube.
3. Slowlyrotatetheaxletubeuntiltherearwheelsareapproximatelyinastraightline.
ƽ WARNING
QUICK RELEASE LEVERS - Make sure the quick release levers are pointing
towards the rear of the wheelchair and are in the closed position before using the
wheelchair, otherwise personal injury or damage to the wheelchair may occur.
ƽ WARNING
STANDARD AND SUSPENSION CAMBER CLAMPS - Make sure the hex screws
are securely tightened before using the wheelchair, otherwise personal injury or
damage to the wheelchair may occur.
4. Closethecamberclamp.RefertoOpening/ClosingCamberClampsonpage 39.
5. Measurethedistancebetweenthecenterlinesattherearandfrontoftherearwheels
atapproximately12inchesfromtheground/floor.RefertoDeterminingToeIn/Toe
Outonpage 42.
6. RepeatSTEPS14untilthetoein/toeoutmeasurementislessthan1/2inch(0+
1/4inchformaximumrollability).
7. Rotateeithertherightorleftadjustmentringuntilthestopontheringisatthetopof
theslotinthecamberclampasshowninFIGURE 5.10andsecurelytightenthe
phillipsscrewonthepositionedadjustmentring.
NOTE:Rearwheelsareremovedfrom
the
drawingsforclarity.Thereisnoneedtoremove
rearwheelsfromthewheelchairduring
adjustment.
NOTE:FIGURE 5.10showstwoexamplesof
howtheadjustmentringscanbepositioned.
