• Lengtheningthewheelbasewillincreasethestabilityandmaintainstandard

maneuverabilityofwheelchair.

• Shorteningthewheelbasewilldecreasethestability,increasethemaneuverabilityand

distributeadditionalweightontotherearwheels.

Positionthefrontcasterssothattheyare

extendedasfarforwardaspossibleand

engagewheellocks.

DO NOT attempt to reach objects if

you have to move forward in the seat or

pick them up from the floor by reaching

down between your knees.
