Maintenance Safety Precautions
ƽ WARNING
After ANY adjustments, repair or service and BEFORE use, make sure all attaching
hardware is tightened securely - otherwise injury or damage may occur.
CAUTION
DO NOT overtighten hardware attaching to the frame. This could cause damage to
the frame tubing.
Suggested Maintenance Procedures
1. Beforeusingyourwheelchair,makesureallnutsandboltsaretight.Checkallparts
fordamageorwearandreplace.Checkallpartsforproperadjustment.
2. Keepquick/quad‐releaseaxlesfreeofdirtandlinttoensurepositivelockingand
properoperation.RefertoAdjustingQuick‐ReleaseAxlesonpage 36orAdjusting
Quad‐ReleaseHandlesonpage 37.
ƽ WARNING
DO NOT use WD-40®, 3-in-1 oil®, or other penetrating lubricants on quick-release
axles or camber inserts. Otherwise, binding and/or damage to the wheelchair may
occur.
3. Cleanquick‐releaseaxlesandcamberinsertsonceaweekwithaTeflon®lubricant.
ƽ WARNING
DO NOT use your wheelchair unless it has the proper tire pressure (p.s.i.).
DO NOT overinflate the tires. Failure to follow these suggestions may cause the
tire to explode and cause bodily harm. The recommended tire pressure is on the
sidewall of the tire.
4. Recommendedtirepressureislistedonthesidewallofthetire.
CAUTION
As with any vehicle, the wheels and tires should be checked periodically for cracks
and wear, and should be replaced if damaged.
5. Thewheels,castersandtiresshouldbecheckedperiodicallyforcracksandwear,and
shouldbereplacedwhennecessary.ContactaqualifiedtechnicianorInvacare
