5-3 Maintenance
Troubleshooting
In the event that your World Scale does not operate as expected,
perform the following steps:
1. Check your Error Code and take the action described in the
table of Error Codes below. Also see Error Messages.
2. If a persistent error message appears, or the scale locks up,
disconnect, then reconnect, the scale to the power supply.
3. If the problem still exists, please check Possible System
Problems later in this chapter.
4. If the scale still remains inoperative, contact your local Hobart
Representative.
Error Codes
If you receive an error on your World Scale, check the code below
and follow the suggested Action/Solution.

Definition Action/Solution
E 5 Disconnect, then reconnect the scale to the power supply.
E 10 Battery failure. Replace batteries.
E 11 Power supply voltage is too high. Make sure the correct power supply is being used.
E 15 Disconnect, then reconnect the power supply.
E 19 Contact your Hobart Service Representative.
E 20 Weight error. Disconnect, then reconnect the power supply. If the error
reappears, contact your Hobart Service Representative.
E 21 Contact your Hobart Service Representative.
E 30 Supervisor mode not exited correctly. Re-enter Supervisor mode, make the required changes, go to the
next Function/Sub-Function to accept the change, then exit again.
E 35 Contact your Hobart Service Representative.
E 36 Contact your Hobart Service Representative.
E 40 Contact your Hobart Service Representative.
E 41 Contact your Hobart Service Representative.
E 42 Contact your Hobart Service Representative.
E 100 Invalid PLU contents. Try reprogramming the PLU.
E 101 Transaction failed. Try your transaction again.
E 102 PLU failed. The PLU was set up in Supervisor mode and cannot be changed.
E 103 Tare failed. Try to reprogram the Tare.
E 110 Contact your Hobart Service Representative.
E 151 Contact your Hobart Service Representative.
E 152 User does not have access to this item (in Supervisor mode).
