1 Set [USB Connection] in the [R2] menu.
Refer to “Menu Reference”. (z p.R25)
2 Turn your computer on.
3 Turn your camera off.
4 Open the terminal cover of the camera, and
connect the USB terminal and a USB port of your
computer using the provided USB cable.
5 Turn your camera on.
For Windows, the camera is recognized as a [Removable Disk] in
[My Computer].
For Macintosh, an icon for the SD Memory Card appears on the
desktop.
Memo
• If the [Removable Disk Drive] dialog appears when the camera is
turned on, select [Open folder to view files using Windows
Explorer] and click the OK button.
• When using Windows XP, if the SD Memory Card has a volume
label, the volume label name appears instead of [Removable Disk].
A new unformatted SD Memory Card may show the
manufacturer’s name or model number.
6 Save the captured images to your computer.
Copy the image file(s) or the folder containing the image files in
your camera to the hard disk of your computer.
7 Disconnect your camera from your computer.
